Hi, I’m Matt and I specialise in recruiting permanent software developers. I focus mainly on the .Net sector but recruit a range of front end, back end and full stack specialists as well as testers, leaders and managers and a number of development languages.
I’ve been with TRC since December 2017. I first started in recruitment in 2013, originally back in the UK before realising the grass is greener (and the weather is better!) over this side of the world.
I recruit specialists in .Net into the development space and have experience across various industries including Finance, Defence, FMCG and IT among others.
I love getting to know the candidates and clients I work with and building partnerships to make the recruitment process as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
My Secret Sauce
I have 8 years’ experience in recruitment across the UK and Aus. I’ve worked as an account manager for an RPO (essentially in-house recruitment) so know what it’s like to be on the other end of the phone, and how much value a good recruiter relationship can bring.
I'm Delivery-driven – in my first recruitment role we could have penalties incurred if we didn’t send CVs within 48 hours and place the role within 2 weeks, so delivering the right people quickly has been drilled into me.
I have 3 years’ specialist knowledge in Sydney IT market.
I know how to really drill down into exactly what a client/candidate needs, rather than what they think they want.
I'm very attentive with strong attention to detail, and able to be collaborative with my clients and share my own ideas and thoughts on what they could be doing different rather than just following instructions.
